OndaLabs Pricing: How Credits, Plans and Top-Ups Work
OndaLabs pricing explained: plans from $0 to $199 a month, how credits turn into minutes, what each tool costs and when a credit top-up makes sense.
OndaLabs pricing runs on a monthly pool of credits. Plans range from Free at $0 to Business at $199 a month. One credit buys one character of Onda Lite speech, or 1.5 credits per character on Onda Flash. By the app's estimate, a minute of Lite speech costs about 900 credits.
This guide covers the plans, how credits become minutes, what each tool costs, and when a top-up pack makes sense.
OndaLabs plans at a glance
Prices are monthly and yearly, in US dollars. Minutes are the app's own estimates, and the Flash column is our arithmetic.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Credits per month | Minutes (Lite / Flash) | |---|---|---|---|---| | Free | $0 | $0 | 2,000 | About 2 / not available | | Starter | $9 | $90 | 170,000 | About 189 / about 283 | | Creator | $22 | $220 | 400,000 | About 444 / about 667 | | Pro | $49 | $490 | 900,000 | About 1,000 / about 1,500 | | Business | $199 | $1,990 | 3,750,000 | About 4,167 / about 6,250 |
Each plan includes the features of the one before it, with a few additions:
- Free: Onda Lite, expressive tags, dialogue, speech to text and 5 saved clips.
- Starter: Onda Flash, image generation and commercial use.
- Creator: 3 custom voices, cloned or designed, and music generation.
- Pro: 10 custom voices.
- Business: 30 custom voices and priority support.
Yearly billing is labelled "Yearly (2 months free)". The yearly price is 10 times the monthly price.
How many minutes do credits buy?
Minutes are estimates based on about 15 characters of speech per second on Onda Lite. The formulas are simple:
- Lite minutes = credits divided by 900, rounded. Starter's 170,000 credits give about 189 minutes.
- Flash minutes = credits divided by 600. Flash costs 1.5 credits per character, so one minute is 900 divided by 1.5, which is 600 credits. Starter's 170,000 credits give about 283 minutes.
- Pro example: 900,000 credits divided by 900 is 1,000 Lite minutes. The same credits divided by 600 is 1,500 Flash minutes.
Real pacing varies with the voice and the script, so treat the minute figures as planning numbers.
What each action costs
| Action | Credits | |---|---| | Speech, Onda Lite | 1 per character | | Speech, Onda Flash | 1.5 per character | | Speech to text | 50 per minute, billed per started minute | | Design a custom voice | 1,500 | | Clone a custom voice | 1,500 | | Music clip (30 seconds) | 2,500 | | Full song | 5,000 |
Speech to text is not free on the Free plan. It costs 50 credits per started minute on every plan.
Top-up packs: when they make sense
Packs are one-time purchases. The studio describes them as credit packs that never expire and are used after your monthly credits.
| Pack | Price | Credits | Price per 1,000 credits (derived) | |---|---|---|---| | 100,000-credit pack | $5 | 100,000 | $0.050 | | 500,000-credit pack | $24 | 500,000 | $0.048 |
The derived column is price divided by credits, multiplied by 1,000. A top-up makes sense in three cases:
- One project needs more than your monthly allowance, and you do not want to upgrade for a single month.
- Your plan already covers your regular work, and you need an occasional burst.
- You want a buffer before a large batch of renders.
Your balance is the plan credits plus any pack credits. The sidebar shows the total, and the Billing page shows how many come from packs.
Monthly or yearly billing
Yearly billing is the better rate per month. Starter costs $90 a year, which works out to $7.50 a month (90 divided by 12). Creator's $220 a year works out to about $18.33 a month.
Yearly plans still renew their credits every month, on the 1st. A yearly plan does not give you 12 months of credits at once. Monthly plans renew on the billing date.
When credits renew and what happens at zero
- If a job costs more than your balance, the Generate button changes to "Add credits".
- The "You're out of credits" window offers the two packs or an upgrade to the next plan.
- Upgrades take effect immediately.
- Downgrading to Free cancels the subscription immediately and caps monthly credits at the Free allowance. Packs you bought are kept.
- Payments are final. Unused time or credits are not refunded, unless the law requires it.
The pages do not say whether unused monthly credits roll over. Plan around the renewal date, not around a carryover.
Worked examples
These figures are derived from the credit rates above. Speech costs are per character, so the same job costs 1.5 times as much on Flash.
| Job | Onda Lite credits | Onda Flash credits | |---|---|---| | 60-second voiceover, about 900 characters | 900 | 1,350 | | 5,000-character narration, the maximum per generation | 5,000 | 7,500 | | 10-minute transcript (speech to text, 50 per minute) | 500 | Not applicable | | One 30-second music clip | 2,500 | Not applicable | | Clone your voice once | 1,500 | Not applicable |
How other providers meter
Other services bill differently, so compare the method rather than ranking the numbers.
| Provider | How it bills | Published rate, as of October 2026 | |---|---|---| | OndaLabs | Credits | 1 per character on Lite, 1.5 on Flash, about 900 credits per minute by the app's estimate | | ElevenLabs | Credits | Its pricing page shows about 1 minute of speech per 1,000 credits | | OpenAI tts-1 and tts-1-hd | Per million characters | $15.00 and $30.00 | | Amazon Polly | Per million characters | $4 for Standard up to $100 for Long-Form |
These are different products with different limits. The table shows how each one meters use. It does not show which one is better or cheaper for your work.
Where to check your own numbers
The live pricing page has the monthly and yearly toggle, so you can compare both billing options side by side. Your own balance is in the studio, and the Billing page shows how many credits come from packs. Check both before a large job.
Before you buy a pack, price the job first. Paste the script into text to speech and read the credit estimate beside the character counter, which uses the model you have selected. Then decide between a pack and a plan change.

By the app's estimate, a minute of Onda Lite speech costs about 900 credits, so one credit is roughly 0.067 seconds of speech (60 divided by 900). On Onda Flash the same credit covers less speech, because each character costs 1.5 credits. These are planning estimates, not guarantees.

No. Commercial use is included from Starter. The Free plan is for personal use and testing, so use a paid plan for audio that you publish or sell.
